Even though I do not understand a single word, it gives me the goose bumps.... An amazing song, an amazing musician, Aynur Dogan (Ahmedo) ....
Enjoy her voice!

Absolutely beautiful Nevin. One does not have to understand the language to appreciate the beauty. Thank you for sharing.
She is good... I think I saw her in the documentary by Fatih Akin, Crossing the Bridge: The Sound of Istanbul
Ardent, I totally agree. Music is universal!
TT, you are absolutely right. That is where I first discovered her. It is a great documentary that encompasses various different types of musical influences in Turkey... if anyone is interested, I would highly recommended...
Excellent! She immediately put me in mind of Sheila Chandra; a similar sound, with fine voice control.
I checked Sheila Chandra on I-tunes.... you are right, she has a beautiful strong voice. Wonderful, exchange of information is just wonderful!
Wow she has such a beautiful voice. Her voice is wonderful It makes for a stunning soundscape. Thanks for sharing. Now I will ahve to look out for her work.
It doesn'nt matter if I can't understand a song's words. THat will not stop me enjoying Darya Dadvar next month!
Great Singer!
Its also part of the Ebru Project. They have the words in Turkish.
Ebru ProjectAlso there’s an Anglo / Arabic singer I like called Natacha Atlas who sings in a number of languages, English, Arabic, French, Spanish, Serbian etc. She sang the soundtrack to the film “Brick Lane” in Hindi
Brick Lane Sound Track
Jams, have a wonderful time at the concert next month.
